Not every builder builds custom. Most adapt standard plans. At Chase, we start from what you want and build outward from there.
A Chase custom log home begins with a conversation, not a catalog. We work with clients who know what they want to feel when they walk through the door — and need a builder who can translate that into structure, material, and form.
Our homes are designed for the Sun Valley environment: the snowpack, the altitude, the sightlines, the way light moves through a mountain morning. Everything else follows from there.
It requires a different knowledge, a different set of hands, and a different approach to every joint, every corner, every load point.
We source logs for their structural character and visual presence. Every build is a collaboration between what the client envisions and what the material can honestly do.
The way logs are joined, stacked, and settled determines how the home performs over decades. Our crew has done this long enough to know what holds and what doesn't.
A custom log home built by Chase is not a ten-year house. It is a multi-generational structure — designed and built to outlast the first family that moves into it.
Most of our clients don't live in Idaho full-time. They come for ski season, for summers, for holidays, for the kind of quiet that's hard to find anywhere else. Their Sun Valley home is where they stop performing and start being present.
That is the home we build. Not a showpiece. Not a project. A place that is warm when you arrive, quiet when you want quiet, and full when you want full.
If you're thinking about building custom log homes in Sun Valley, Ketchum, or Hailey — or on land nearby — we'd like to hear about it.
Most builds in our range run 12–24 months from groundbreaking to completion, depending on scope, site access, and permitting. We give you a realistic timeline in the scope phase — not an optimistic one.
Yes — and most of our clients aren't. We use video calls, shared documentation, and regular photo updates to bring you into every decision that matters. You won't feel absent from your own build.
Everything between your design approval and your walkthrough: trade coordination, permitting, material procurement, site supervision, vendor management, inspections, and ongoing communication. You decide. We execute.
We take on a limited number of projects each year. If you have land in the Sun Valley area and a vision for what belongs on it, let's talk.
