The Chase Process

How a Chase Build Works —
From First Call
to Finished Home

Most of our clients have never built a custom home. Many have never visited a job site. All of them are building from somewhere else. This is how we make that work.

Built Around Remote Clients

Your Role: Decisions.
Our Role: Everything Else.

The most common question we receive is not about materials or timelines or cost. It's this: How does this work when I'm not there?

The answer is that we've built the process around that exact reality. The majority of Chase Construction's clients live outside Idaho. They manage careers, companies, and families across time zones. They don't have the bandwidth to manage a construction project — and they shouldn't have to. That's our job.

We want you involved in the choices that matter to you. Finishes, materials, design decisions — we bring those to you clearly, with context, so you can make them confidently. What we don't do is escalate every subcontractor question, every weather delay, every material substitution. We handle those. You hear about them when they change something you care about.

Five Steps

How every Chase
project unfolds.

01

First Conversation

Before any scope or budget is discussed, we talk. We want to understand what you're building, where you are in the process, and what matters most. This call is free, informal, and under no obligation. It's how we find out whether we're the right fit for your project — and whether your project is the right fit for us.

02

Site and Scope Assessment

If we're moving forward, we assess the site and develop a clear scope. This is not a rough estimate. It is a structured breakdown of what the build requires, what it will cost, and what the timeline looks like. We ask hard questions here — about budget, about expectations, about what happens if something changes — because the right time to answer those questions is before construction begins.

03

Design Coordination

We work alongside your architect or design team to ensure that what's designed can be built — on this land, in this climate, with these materials. Our input at the design phase saves time and money in the build phase.

04

Construction

We manage all trades and vendors. We run the job site. You receive regular updates — photos, written notes, scheduled calls at the cadence that works for you. When a decision needs your input, we give you the context and the options. When it doesn't, we make it and document it.

05

Walkthrough and Completion

Your first visit to the finished home should feel like arrival. Not like a punch list. We work to the standard where we're ready to hand you the keys — not still finishing details when you land.

What to Expect

What you can expect
from us.

Communication

You will never wonder what's happening on your build. We communicate proactively, consistently, and clearly. If something changes, you hear from us first.

Documentation

Every significant decision is documented. Every material substitution, every scope change, every cost variance is recorded and shared. You have a full record of your build.

Accountability

We take responsibility for the work that happens under our management. When something doesn't meet standard, we correct it. You don't negotiate this with us — we hold ourselves to it.

"Building a luxury home should be one of the most rewarding things you do. For clients who choose Chase Construction, it usually is."
